All kitchen towels are prewashed 30" long x 18"-19" wide.
Our towels are small batch, hand-made artisanal creations.
Medium-Smooth Lithuanian 100% Linen:
Minimally processed linen. The flax has not been chemically treated. There may be small bits of natural flax in the weave. Hand woven in Lithuania by master crafts people using traditional, time honored looms. .
Organic linen can shrink up to 15% after the first wash. For this reason, we take the time to prewash the fabric before creating towels of the desired length of 30”.
Unless specified by customer, our towels have a hanging loop. They are highly absorbent and will soften with age and use. OKEO-TEX organic certified.
Towel Care: Warm/cold wash is best. No chlorine bleach or fabric softeners. Fabric softeners will actually inhibit the naturally occurring softness of the flax fibers that occur naturally with use and washing. Chlorine base whiteners will diminish the highly desirable strength of the fibers. Tumble dry is fine, when possible hang on the line in the sun or air dry. Steam iron or finger-press to shape when slightly damp if needed.
